Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM) is a professional marketing body located in Kuala Lumpur. IMM Student Chapter is an initiative initiated by the Department of Marketing (Faculty of Business) to be set up in Curtin Malaysia. This initiative is to be used as a platform for students to apply what they have learned within the classroom environment. Students are given opportunities to enhance their knowledge on marketing by participating in workshops, seminars and any other marketing related activities that will be conducted by IMMSC. Besides, collaboration with professional bodies allows students to explore more about marketing related activities as well as enhance their skills. Additionally, IMMSC may bring on the opportunity to provide with the available professional papers that may assist students with their career path as well as to gain extra knowledge. Apart from that, IMMSC provides beneficial marketing insights, choices of career, useful knowledge on various marketing areas through our IMMSC page and website.

OBJECTIVES

i. To provide the opportunity for students to explore potential careers in marketing and provide networking opportunities.

ii. To provide marketing related workshops, seminars and trainings to students by collaborating with professional bodies.

iii. To promote continuing professional development (CPD) in marketing for certification with professional marketing bodies such as Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM), Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), Chartered Institute of Marketing Malaysia and United Kingdom.

iv. To provide a strategic platform to advance thinking and soft skills that will propel development and uncover potentials of members in highly competitive global economy and market place.

v. To inculcate the principles of good character, trust, honesty, professionalism and ethical behavior that are recognized as best practices in modern and dynamic business world.
